Rainbows

So, we all go through trials. We all go through pain (emotional, mental, or physical.) Some people's pain seems worse than other's. Some pain seem to scream out louder than other pain. And then there is the quiet pain that no one knows about. There are days where we cry out into what feels like nothing. Sometimes it feels like God has abandoned us in this journey of life where we face some kind of pain every single day. There was a quote from The Fault in Our Stars that I really liked. It was: "That's the thing about pain. It demands to be felt." ~John Green. And I was thinking about that. Thinking about the pain we go through on a day to day basis. And we always feel the pain. Even if it is just emotional or mental pain. We can always feel it. It demands to be felt. And then in that case, it is often too easy to dwell on the pain. It is often too easy to look out into the rain and only see dark clouds without hope. It is easy to get overwhelmed with the pain of this world to over look the rainbow that is trying its hardest to peak through the other side of those dark, gray, lonely, depressing and full of pain clouds. It's hard to see through our tears to to the other side. It's hard to see the rainbows that are all around us because the rain is clouding our vision. But the rainbows are always there. Even during the rain fall, there is always some kind of rainbow present. Look for those rainbows, because God put them there to show us hope. To show us that we are not alone.
