Tip Toe //poem//

Tip Toe

tip toe on the white floor
hang onto to the silver bar

look into the mirror and judge your posture
straighten up, curve your legs, on your toes

twirl around and glide through the air,
land softly on your toes; repeat

lace your slippers up tighter
pull your leg warmers up

don't give up, keep going
dance on your toes once again

In the Dark //a poem//

In the Dark

she was stuck in the dark,
trapped behind the glass...
she wanted to leave a mark
on the world, but dying too fast...

dying emotionally and inside
trying to stay afloat in life
feeling lost and ready to hide
from everyone and everything

...she cried out for help, and nothing came...

but then she saw a burning light
and a hand reaching out to her...
she lifted her head and took flight
being drawn close to someone's chest...

"Child, you're safe now," He whispered
and all her worries fled away,
feelings of hopelessness disappeared
and grace was given freely to her...

...for Jesus saved her that day...

Beautiful Chaos //a poem//

So I wrote this a few days ago, and I kinda fell in love with the rhythm and words, and yeah.  Thought I'd share.

Beautiful Chaos

you could see it in her eyes,
a beautiful chaos that was shinning bright...
and you could feel it in her words,
the way she loved life and all that was in it...

even though she lived in pain,
and even though it never gave her rest...
she always had faith, had hope in the future,
now she wants you to see it, too...see the love of life...

...see the love of poetry, and words...
...see the love of paintings and long walks...
...feel the intertwined fingers of a lover,
...and hear the late night whispers of a friend...

she was a mix between disastrous melancholy,
and gorgeous abstract, that shined through her soul...
and she enjoyed the art of music and dance,
longing to live as long as possible...

...longing to see the world...
...to /feel/ the wind one last time...

she rarely cried, saving her tears for important things,
keeping her emotions locked deep in her heart...
until the right moment when she could freely express
her mind and dreams, and hopes...

Inky Thoughts //a poem//

Here's a poem I wrote a while back, just wanted to share.

Inky Thoughts

Inky thoughts; strewn on paper,
Here one moment; gone like a vapor,
Paint chipped nails; wind blown hair,
Sunlight and moonlight, oh, what a pair,

Day by day; passing whispers,
Music and love; we are hipsters,
Early morning walks; hot showers,
Weakness vague; strength powers,

Fuzzy lap blankets; stuffed animals,
Sherlock and Doctor Who fangirls,
Mothers, daughters, fathers, sons,
A good book; wearing Vans

These are the things which make us smile,
The things which let us go one more mile,
In the busy life in which we live everyday,
We need something to make us say:
"I want to live on. I don't want to die,
Will you at least help me try?"

Inky thoughts; words on a paper,
Here forever, not just a vapor,
Paint chipped nails; wind blown hair,
Me and you together, oh what a pair
